If someone is stealing cable, it is a criminal offense (theft of service) which the cable company needs to look into and prosecute on their own. If you have real evidence of this, please call Comcast, AT&T, etc, to alert them.
That's why it is up to them to find out, since each cable company should know who's line. Please understand if I tried to find out, I would likely need to call each cable company and spend a lot of time on hold on the phone. I can maybe mention it to City Engineering, they may know which wire is which.
I contacted Comcast now, if they do nothing about it, I guess I'll keep trying other companies. Amazes me how people can get away with Illinois plates, and stealing service, and we scurry around trying to stop them, and they laugh all they way to the bank with the money they save.
When you look at the front door, just to the left are three windows. The closest one to the door has a cable coming out of the bottom of the window frame and is connected to the cable from the pole with a splitter. The cable company would never install in this manner.
Drive by there and look for yourself. A two way splitter is about one foot outside the window and the cable is just drooping down from the pole at the entry to the alley from Jackson. It is so blatantly obvious.
The people that used to rent there were always causing a disturbance, the man never had a license plate on his vehicle, the police were being called several times a month. It was a nuisance residence. I can't expect these new people to be any better now that I see this.
